A Genuine Admiralty wheel ex WW11 Motor Torpedo Boat circa 1940 It is completely original, weights 22 kilos. The centre brass boss has been cleaned and the inlaid brass around the circumference polished. The rear left as original. The wheel is 36 inches across from spoke to spoke and the drive square at 1 1/2 inches. A rare opportunity to purchase a decent heavily made ships steering wheel which would stand up to all the elements in an exposed position.Would suit Traditional Boat or large Barge etc.

Unlike most of the wheels advertised this one is a proper made marine steering wheel in teak, inlaid with brass around circumferance both fore and aft. You can always tell the quality of wheels by their centre boss. These are solid brass, keyed for 1 1/2 shaft. Polished centre boss to screw on and most important of all....the glues used will stand exterior position unlike so many of the decorative wheels. Across the spokes it is 38 inches and weights 14 kilos !

In polished brass it is a reproduction but excellent in quality. I have a similar one on my own boat.However I have changed mine to 12 volt instead of the small oil reservoir this one has. The viewing is through an oval glass. The compass is with the old points but also in
modern degrees and with a rose coloured bulb fitted ideal for night time sailing. I used a small 12 volt bulb and coloured it with wifes red nail varnish.
