Yes it is available and we stock it! No, contrary to what many people express it is not a banned product. The paint manufacturer has to pay a heavy duty to the Government to produce it. On my own boat I give two coats to all metal with this then two coats of Hammerite.
In the past three years I have no rust to talk about.

Metaclor C.R. Primer
This primer is available only in grey. It is a chlorinated rubber primer. Wonderful waterproofing characteristics, easy to use and on two coats will cover black seams ready for two coats of Antifoul. It is also very good to give a coat of this prior to new anti fouling paint. Provides an excellent barrier coat between old and new antifoul. I have used this product for some years now.
C.R. is not new tech as it has been around for over 15 years. I prime everything with this product.

Zinc Rich Primer.
Sold in 1 litre tins this primer is ideal for underwater metal work. Tried and well tested on my own boat I recommend it for rudder metal fittings and all metal work below water and above.
The Zinc rich primes better than normal primers.It takes antifoul paint OK and it is still on my own boat with NO breakdown after 10 months. Its not cheap but an excellent product made by Teamac Marine Paints for whom I am a distributor.
