To all of you. There are a lot of cheap brushes for sale all over the place. How many times are we working with them and have odd bristles left in the paint etc.
I recommend these to you all as I use them myself on own boat. And after cleaning I am re-using and re-using. To achieve a good finish it is imperative to use brushes with long hairs so that you can lay off well.
LARGE GENUINE SHIPS WHEEL circa 1940
A Genuine Admiralty wheel ex WW11 Motor Torpedo Boat circa 1940 It is completely original, weights 22 kilos. The centre brass boss has been cleaned and the inlaid brass around the circumference polished. The rear left as original. The wheel is 36 inches across from spoke to spoke and the drive square at 1 1/2 inches. RESOLCOAT EPOXY
Water based epoxy.
Something new on the scene but has been around for over a year and well proven.
If you have a section of wood that is wet and spongy, using this product will drive the water out and will firm the timber. It is a two pack product used in three coats.
First coat: Mix epoxy and hardener (1:1) Then dilute with the same amount of water.
Second coat: Mix epoxy and hardener (1:1) Then dilute with half the water.
Third Coat: Mix epoxy and hardener (1:1) No added water.
On the first coat the mix will penetrate and drive out the existing moisture. The other coats will harden the timber.
No thinners required. Brushes wash out in water.

POLYHEMP ROPE
This is HEMPEX altered slightly to meet M.O.D Specification.Made in Germany and UV stabilised. It is natural in colour and soft in your hands. Lovely to use either wet or dry and ideal for all running rigging. On my own boat it is now 3 years old and still excellent.

BAGGYWRINKLES
At my age I have plenty. However for those who are not familiar with this product it can be described as follows.
Made on double stranded rope so that when they are wound around your rigging they form a "Bush" that protects the mainsail or mizzen from chafing on the rigging wires. Now I believe I am the only person to have made4 portholes this small & opening. When it rains the forward hatch has to be close. In this area is usually a small fixed porthole each side. With these new designs you can open them and still have ventilation in the boat
This completely new porthole is designed by TBS and made in polished bronze. Traditional with two dogs and not one to close and fasten. Complete with backing plate and all fastenings. Fitted safety glass and with a deep spigot of 1 3/4 inches you can mark and cut to suit depth of wood.

Ships Wheel
Made in solid mahogany from the salvaged capping rails of the old 'Canberra' scrapped in 1966. Inlaid brass around the circumference of the wheel, front and rear, and nicely finished with polished brass cap on the front. This is a superb quality ships wheel, not to be confused with cheap imports.
