To all of you. There are a lot of cheap brushes for sale all over the place. How many times are we working with them and have odd bristles left in the paint etc.

I recommend these to you all as I use them myself on own boat. And after cleaning I am re-using and re-using. To achieve a good finish it is imperative to use brushes with long hairs so that you can lay off well.




Portholes (Deep Spigot)

Now I believe I am the only person to have made4 portholes this small & opening. When it rains the forward hatch has to be close. In this area is usually a small fixed porthole each side. With these new designs you can open them and still have ventilation in the boat

This completely new porthole is designed by TBS and made in polished bronze. Traditional with two dogs and not one to close and fasten. Complete with backing plate and all fastenings. Fitted safety glass and with a deep spigot of 1 3/4 inches you can mark and cut to suit depth of wood.

POLY HEMP ROPE.

The UK traditionally uses 3 strand which is what all my ropes are. Europe uses 4 strand and as such our 3 strand is specially made in Germany for me. The Europeans are trying to stop making 3 strand so that we all conform to what they do. I refuse to comply. Our history has always been 3 strand and I see no reason as to why we should be forced to comply with yet another E.U alteration in what is our traditional rope lay.

Ships Wheel

Made in solid mahogany from the salvaged capping rails of the old 'Canberra' scrapped in 1966. Inlaid brass around the circumference of the wheel, front and rear, and nicely finished with polished brass cap on the front. This is a superb quality ships wheel, not to be confused with cheap imports.

Antifouling Paints

Teamac New Antifoul 'D'

This is a new product. A soft ablative Antifoul which after being applied in two coats should not be scrubbed. It is very suitable for vessels that are afloat all the time and not subjected to hard use when coming alongside or taking the bottom at low water. I have used this product since 1999 and am very pleased with the result.

Teamac New Killa Copper Premium

This is a hard scrubbable Antifoul paint. Both of these Antifouls are NEW products and meet the necessary criteria for todays sea conditions around U.K. and near Europe. Red Lead Paint

Following discussions with the Paint Manufacturer I have become aware that there is a higher quality to be made under BS 5493 Type B 137. This is the highest spec that it is possible to make and that will be the norm for the future with this business. To give you some idea. The old spec weighted 11 3/4 kilos for 5 litres. The new spec is 13 1/2 kilos. The quality of the resin is even better.

Metaclor C.R. Primer

This primer is available only in grey. It is a chlorinated rubber primer. Wonderful waterproofing characteristics, easy to use and on two coats will cover black seams ready for two coats of Antifoul. It is also very good to give a coat of this prior to new anti fouling paint. Provides an excellent barrier coat between old and new antifoul. I have used this product for some years now.

C.R. is not new tech as it has been around for over 15 years. I prime everything with this product.
